36 Weeks with Baby Boy #3!!

36 Weeks!!!! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone! Hank Frank Bootyshake is the size of a large cantaloupe! Just recently we had an ultrasound done because I was measuring a bit small. At almost 35 weeks, they measured him at about 4lbs, 13oz around 33.5 weeks in size. My midwife said it was nothing she is worried about and we may just get one more ultrasound at 38 weeks to make sure he is growing just fine. My other 2 pregnancies I measured small so I am not too worried. Both my kiddos were only 6 pounds! Since my labors go pretty quick and I am measuring small, we are planning to have the baby induced a week early between July 17th and 19th. That's in just 3 weeks!!!!

Total Weight Gain: Probably hitting the 20lb mark this week!

Names: I have to say we have had a pretty hard time picking a name, but MAY have picked one. Why not keep it a surprise though??  I think I have told my sister 3 different names in the last couple weeks but we think this is it!! 

Regular Clothes or Maternity: Mainly maternity and leggings. 

Stretch Marks: Still the ones from my little Noah Bug ;) I thought my scars from my Gallbladder surgery would stretch but nope! Still just a few "bullet holes" as Greg would call them! 

Aches and Pains: I officially have sciatic pain on my right side and get little cramps in my right thigh when I walk. But nothing I can't handle! Just means the end is near! We can't wait to meet our boy! 

Sleep: I sleep pretty well for the most part. I have finally figured out my pillow situation that makes me feel more comfortable. Pretty sure Greg is ready for my pillows to go away lol! I do feel less achy. My lower back pain I had felt through the pregnancy has gone away for the most part so that's good!

Fitness: Nope! Just constantly moving with these kiddos!

Miss Anything: Nah! 

Baby Movement: Oh my goodness. He likes to moveeee! I just sit and watch my stomach move in all different directions! Any time Greg touches my belly, he moves a whole bunch. It's sweet! We are definitely feeling the connection with our baby boy already!

Food: I can eat anything! lol! Danger! But it's true, nothing really grosses me out so that's good. I am still craving sweets and lots of fruit. 

Labor Signs: No. I have been having a lot of Braxton Hicks especially by the end of the day. We have been very busy since the kids got out of school so lots of moving is definitely causing some tightness.

Mood: Feeling pretty good about my mood. I have my moments (like anyone would) with some irritation here and there lol but overall I'm just fine and anxious to get everything all prepped and set up!! As Greg keeps telling me, nesting has begun! Clothes are washed, baby's room is almost done, and I am so ready to get the swing out, the cradle put together, and my bag packed! 

Appointments: My next appointment is Tuesday! I will be meeting the other midwife just in case I go into labor and my midwife is off duty!

How are Big Brother and Big Sister? Ahh they are wonderful! We have been very busy lately with Greg working nights, we try to stay out of the house while he is sleeping. It's a good thing! Swim lessons, picnics in the park, gymnastics, playing with neighbors and friends, play dates, and much more! These kiddos are OUT by the time they lay their pretty little heads on their pillows! They are not only super excited about the baby coming, but seeing lots of family! My parents are coming, along with my sister and baby Tyler, and THEN we are surprising them with Bryan Jennifer, and cousins Caden and Sophie! A big family reunion! In August, we have a little camping trip planned while Noah is at Survivor Camp. After that, we will see Greg's family AND we will be traveling down to CA in September to see everyone. Sounds like the perfect summer to me!

Kentucky Falls

Oh me oh my! The day we spent adventuring out to Kentucky Falls was yet another memory I couldn't help but write about. I don't want to forget this day!! Greg is ALWAYS researching new places to explore. This one happened to be out in the middle of no where with a little "off roading" included! Kentucky Falls is 3 hours north of here, in the Mapleton area. SO, if we are going to head out somewhere that may be far, we need entertainment along the way right?! Of course!! And what entertains us when driving?! Our new favorite thing, GEOCACHING! So Greg planned out a few stops along the way.

Our first stop was at the North Fork Bridge. Unfortunately, we didn't find a treasure. When we were looking, Greg heard a snake and we decided to move on lol. But this bridge was pretty cool, and the kids loved throwing rocks in the water for a bit!

Our next stop was a treasure found at "Skull Rock". I found the "Skull Rock", Greg found the Geocache! Team work people! ;)

Just down the road was a Geocache that was near a waterfall. Noah found this one! He was so so excited! Here's what a lot of the Caches look like. They come in a container, usually painted so it's not too obvious. You will see a bag with some kind of notebook to write your name and date, then some kind of knick knacks. We usually throw in little Dollar Store toy animals.

After a nice scenic drive the kids were OH so patient, we made it!! I was thinking we were going to be the only ones there and that this was not a very popular waterfall. Boy was I wrong, 3 other cars had shown up within minutes of us! Piper was not a fan lol!

While we waited for everyone to head out (so Piper would calm down), Noah found another Geocache right at the parking lot! A perfect start to the hike!

Although it was just the beginning of our hike, it was already 12:30, so we stopped and had some lunch! The perfect "bench-like" rocks to have a seat and eat!

After lunch, we were led to more Geocaches! Noah found one under the bridge before we could even read him the clue! He's getting good! Greg helped Kam find the next one behind a tree!

We finally made our trek down to our next waterfall...TWIN waterfalls! We found it odd that our whole hike so far was downhill, we questioned how our walk back was going to be, but we were quickly distracted by the gorgeous waterfalls. One called Kentucky Creek Lower Falls (Right) and the other called Smith River (left)

This area had a nice lookout point where we then climbed down into a spot where we could take a break and enjoy the scenery (and a snack!). We were all getting pretty tired at this point! Well, me (at 33 weeks pregnant) and the kids!

As we headed back UP to the car. It took us a good hour and a half at least. Greg ended up carrying Kamryn on his shoulders, Noah pushed through like a champ, and I had Piper dragging me up lol! Jk. The kids were troopers through this whole thing. I have read that this hike round trip is about 4.5 miles and our kids were fantastic. They always impress me and I could not be more proud! Thank you to my husband for another great hike! Can't wait to for the next one! Although I would have to say this is probably as far of a hike I could go! Glad I didn't go into labor!! We were all troopers, really!

Oh wait! They did!! We found ONE MORE Geocache on our way home!! THEN we were done done. We went a different way home and I am so glad we did! Even if it took us the opposite way of home, it didn't matter, we saw some remarkable views!!

Cape Pertpetua!

May 20th - 23rd

We had the perfect family weekend! I think we were all smiles the whole time, even the drive home! We spent the weekend at Cape Perpetua, here in Oregon (oh, Lord I just typed Florida! HA). Specifically located in Yachats, this place is beautiful!!! We could not have chosen a better weekend! It was the first weekend in months that the weather looked promising with high 60s and low 70s! We picked the best weekend to camp and I have to say we were VERY lucky!

I loved this campground! Greg picked a spot that was in the back (near the bathrooms of course). It was perfectly tucked away from the "ocean breeze" and sat right next to a running creek.

I have to bring up setup. We had it down when moving across the country, and I have to say, we still got it! Everything went very smoothly. The kids stayed entertained with bike riding and throwing rocks in the creek.

After we were all setup, we cooked up some chicken/veggie skewers, rice, and fruit salad. Then enjoyed some s'mores! We were all pretty exhausted, I think we were out by 9:30!

Can I just say, one of my favorite things about camping is waking up in the morning! I love the morning cuddles! I love when the kids come snuggle up inside my sleeping bag so I can warm them up! I also love that my husband gets up earlier and gets coffee/tea all ready for when I wake up! Ha thanks hun!!

Sunday morning before heading out for the day, we were near the famous Spruce tree of Cape Perpetua. It was a quick 5-7 minute trail right next to our campsite. The spruce tree is the largest and oldest tree in the Cape Perpetua area. It is said to be around 500 years old and 185 feet tall. We also found our first Geocache of the day!

Sunday was our big Geocaching day! Geocaching is our new favorite thing; it gets us out moving around, whether it be hiking or just going for a scenic drive. Sunday was a scenic drive for us and we stopped and looked for treasures along the way. If you haven't heard of Geocaching, you should look it up! It's basically like a big treasure hunt where people give you GPS coordinates and clues and you have to find where they are. We drove up to the town of Yachats and turned onto Yachats River Road. This road took us up through the hills and all the way back around behind our campsite. I have to give major props to my amazing husband. He had planned out every "Cache" we were going to search for along the way. Even though we were driving a lot that day, the kids were so into it and so excited when we found a new treasure. So we really were getting a lot out of this day by exploring the scenery with a bunch of stops along the way!

Our 2nd Cache of the day was in the town of Yachats at this cute little log church.  

Our 3rd Cache of the day was up along the Yachats River Road. It was an area that was obviously a logging area, lots of trees were cut down.

Our 4th Cache found was just on the side of the road. It was in a cool little container that looks like a log. Very cool!

We stopped off for a lunch break at this awesome covered bridge. Noah and I have been talking about seeing one for a while, so he was pretty excited when he saw where we were going to hang out at for lunch!

After lunch we kept on going! We found our 5th Cache at a fire station....

and our 6th Cache near a bridge!

It was a very successful day and the drive was spectacular! The kids ended up falling asleep as we made our way back down. We stopped off at the Cape Perpetua lookout. Wow was it breathtaking! We knew we were going to come back at sunset...

And we DID!

Got back to camp, and the kids were out very soon after!!

Monday morning was spent riding bikes and enjoying a yummy breakfast! Kamryn has improved 100% on her bike just from this weekend. The kids just road around and around AND around!

We decided it would be our day to see the Spouting Horn, Devil's Churn, and Thor's Well then shoot over to Yachats to explore the town, eat lunch at Luna, and get an ice cream.

What a view right?? This is where Spouting Horn and Thor's Well was located. It was a little more lower tide than we were expecting. But at least we got to walk out there!

Afterwards, we headed into the town of Yachats to check out the tidepools and find one more Geocache.

Our 7th Cache found!! Kamryn was actually the one to find this one (thanks daddy!) so she was pretty excited. Yet I only got a photo of Noah holding it! Ha!

 We had lunch at Luna Sea Fish House and then went next door for that ice cream we promised!

That was the end of our Monday travels, so back to camp we went where we just hung out, played games, road bikes, played in the creek, built a fire, ate more s'more, and did a little packing up for our departure the next day.

The kids got to ride in the back of the truck when Greg went to pick up more firewood. They were in heaven and boy did it bring back memories of my childhood!

Tuesday morning! Time to go home, boo! Poor Noah was actually a little emotional about leaving. He wasn't ready to leave. This just means it was the perfect trip and everything was planned out perfectly. Again, I have to thank my hubby for this one. He planned every part of each day! So THANK YOU!!!! We all enjoyed ourselves SO SO much! Memories are being made! Our kids are very very lucky!
