36 Weeks!

I had my 36 week doctor appointment today. Pregnancy brain hit hard and I was an hour late for my appointment! WOOPS! I have been having pretty bad cramps the past few days so they agreed to see me :) And I must say, I've never been in and out of doctors office so quickly! Exciting news, I am 2cm dialated and 80% Effaced! It would be pretty neat to meet our baby girl early! Maybe even be here for her daddy's graduation! Since I had Noah so quickly after my water broke, the doctor told me to call the hospital when my contractions are 5 minutes apart or of course right when my water breaks.

Total Weight Gain: 19lbs (SO surprised I didn't gain weight)
Names: Yup, a name has officially been chosen. But we are so close to D-Day that we decided to keep it a surprise :) BUT her middle name will be Grace <3
Regular Clothes or Maternity: Maternity and sweats. Comfort is all I care about at this point!
Stretch Marks: I think I may have some new ones added to Noah's but I can't remember now ha.
Sleep: Sleeping has been a struggle this week. As I said before, lots of cramping and sharp pains below my belly. But the doctor said it is all normal.
Fitness: Walks to the park. But mainly speed walking after Noah! :)
Miss Anything: Just my body! But now I am just enjoying the movements our baby girl is making because I know I will miss that the most once she is out.
Baby Movement: Still a lot of movement. Well, more like jolts. When I go to bed, she moves the most. This week Greg has been feeling her a lot (knees, elbows, butt, who knows! But pretty awesome!)
Food Wants/Needs/Have-to-Haves: Cookies! Ah it's getting out of hand! lol
Foods that Make You Queasy/Sick: Meatloaf
Boy or Girl Predictions: It's a GIRL! :)
Labor Signs: Just baby prepping to come out. Braxton Hicks and a lot of cramping.
Belly Button In/Out: OUTTY! I swear it keeps coming out further and further!
Wedding Rings On or Off: On
Mood: Been in a great mood actually. More tired than anything. I have been very spoiled the past few days with all the help. It's been nice to be able to put my feet up and relax while I get help with Noah. I can't move as quick right now so it's been very helpful.
Pains: Cramping below the belly, jolting pains, back pain here and there. Ha! Must be coming to the end! ;)
Recent Doctors Appointment: See above
How's the Big Brother: Noah is pretty excited for Baby Sister. He is very helpful. We just cleaned and got the car seat all ready. We talk about her all the time and it seems to be very positive so far!

We are definitely ready to meet our Baby Girl! Birth plan is done, baby clothes picked out, bags ALMOST packed. Car seat will probably go in any day.

Let the Easter Festivities Begin!

Sunday, we went to the Petaluma Mother's Club Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Festival. It was a ton of fun! They had jumpy houses, train rides, the Easter Bunny, a clown, balloon twisting, crafts, rabbits and chickens, bubbles, and an Easter Egg Hunt!

My little boy is getting so big!
Noah was very eager to meet the Easter Bunny, but once he sat next to her, he was a little hesitant. He said hi, thank you, "cheese" to the camera, and a high five good bye ;)
Getting ready for the Easter Egg Hunt
He has definitely improved since last year, hehe. He picked up about 6 eggs before starting to open them!
 Checking out his prizes...
Train time! Love Noah's little smile/smirk in this picture!
Went over to NiNi and Grandad's house for dinner that night.
Had to take a picture of my little booger... <3
The boys having an "After Dinner Snack"
Love that I got a picture of ALL of them looking at the camera!

Happy Easter! More to come soon! ;)

All About Noah :)

As per my last post, I felt it was necessary to talk all about my baby boy! A little update on Noah for all you family and friends...A.K.A. my chance to brag about my little booger ;) So hmm..where to start..

Moooommmy, Moooommmmy, Mooooooommy...  oh the wonderful words I hear when I wake up in the morning. Noah brightens my day every day and he is so fun to be around. He gets smarter and smarter every day and it blows me away. The things that come out of his mouth, I just can't believe! So what's new with Noah...

Age: 2 years and 5 months old :)
Height: 35 inches
Weight: 28 pounds

Toys: Dump Trucks, Wooden Trains, Play Kitchen (making French Fries with Ketchup, Soup)

Activities: Playing outside with the neighbors, riding bikes, watching the Garbage Truck outside AND on youtube (haha!). Going to the park! Noah has NO fear these days. He is all over the playground; jumping, climbing, and running is what he does ALL day! Gymnastics is also a fun activity we do at least 2 times a week. He is all over that Gym, it's very fun to watch!

Food: Noah is a great "dinner eater". He usually does pretty well. He enjoys breakfast but always has to help make it. Whether it be toast, waffles, or eggs, he MUST help. Lunch time is not his favorite. He has been really into eating bologna and cheese. Yes he's my kid! haha. Fruit and yogurt he enjoys as well. Starting to get into liking bread. I could never make him sandwiches because he never liked biting into bread. I will have to give it a try again. I love PB & J so i'm sure he will eventually ;)

Books: I Am a Garbage Truck, Curious George, Thomas the Train Books, Goodnight Moon, Pajama Time

Potty Training: Not quite potty trained but whenever he is naked he will tell me he has to go to the bathroom. I definitely need to get on it with the training because he is totally ready.

Baby Sister Adjusting: Starting to understand more and more! We went to Costco a couple weeks ago and Noah asked me if Baby Sister could sit next to him in the shopping cart. MELTED MY HEART! He's going to be such a sweet big brother.

Sharing: Sharing is a struggle but of course, he's 2! I'd say he does pretty well, but there are definite times where we have to get down to his level and tell him to share and explain why.

Talking: Noah is a talking machine! I don't think he ever stops talking! I LOVE IT! Especially in the car. He points out every Excavator, Skid Steer, Steam Roller, and Backhoe Loader he can find. Train tracks and "big trucks" are also a hit! Whenever we drive across town, he knows exactly where they are "building a Target". He cracks me up! Whenever we drive up or down a hill, he lets us know that is what we are doing. When we drive daddy out to the Coast Guard Station, he shows us where all the cows are and that they are eating grass. The other day I sneezed and for the first time he said "bless you mommy". I mean really, he's tugging on those heart strings! Lately, to get our attention he has to say our names (daddy/mommy) 3 times before pointing out something. It's pretty adorable ;)

Learning: We are working on our alphabet and have been for a while. I think his favorite is LMNOPQ. We sing every night and he is making progress. Makes me feel like I am doing a good job ;) Counting and Colors are where his stubborness comes out but we are patient. He counts to 4. He knows all the names of the colors but just says them randomly when I ask what color things are. Ha. He'll get there. :)

Songs: Rock a Bye Baby, ABCs, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Row Row Row Your Boat

Nighttime: Bath, Jammies, IPad (watching Garbage Trucks on YouTube) and Milk, Read 2-3 books, Sing 3 songs, Noah climbs (yes climbs) into his crib, put blankets on, and he's out. He's usually very quick to fall asleep! With all that energy from the moment he wakes up in the morning, I am not surprised! BUT he does usually still wake up once in the middle of the night. Greg or I will go in and just tuck him back in and we cross our fingers he goes back to sleep ;)

We've had a few outtings in the past couple weeks that have been pretty fun. We went to the Bay Area Discovery Museum a couple weeks ago and Pump It Up for Noah's friend Logan's birthday party.

Bay Area Discovery Museum

Pump It Up! Why was this the first time I have been here? I am definitely taking advantage of this place from now on! Can't go wrong for $7 for an hour and a half!!
 Noah's face says it all!
Oh this lovely cake...it was delicious, but let's just say his butt was stained all day the next day. haha!
Sorry TMI!
If you didn't catch on..it was a superhero party. Noah loved his costume!

I must say, I LOVE this age. We are at that age where we don't need a stroller every time we go somewhere (well for now that is!). That age where Noah points out different things and explains what they do and how they work. LOVE IT! His energy, sense of curiosity, and sense of adventure is beyond what I have ever expected. But to be honest, as much as he can be exhausting, I truly enjoy it. He is so fun to watch. I find myself always smiling when he's running laps around the house, riding his bike outside, screaming so loud because he is excited he could hear the garbage truck around the corner or sees our neighbor from across the street. Hearing his truck noises from the other room as he packs his trains inside his dump truck. He is an active little boy and I love every second of it...well almost ;)

34 Weeks!

Total Weight Gain: 19lbs
Names: Getting Close..VERY Close!
Regular Clothes or Maternity: Both. I wear my regular jeans when I HAVE to, which is not the most comfortable but I deal! My maternity jeans are a bit more comfy! I'd really just like to stick to sweat pants!
Stretch Marks: Just from my little Noah Bug :)
Sleep: Starting to feel a bit uncomfortable. My belly is getting heavier so whenever I turn over, I try hard not to "grunt" too loud haha. Dreams are a little outrageous but that's to be expected.;)
Fitness: Walks to the park. So not much oops! But, if possible, Noah is getting even more active these days which means I am still literally running (or speed walking) after him.
Miss Anything: Every day I get more and more anxious to have my body back. I never felt uncomfortable with my first pregnancy, but this one I'm just ready haha. Not to say that this pregnancy is bad because it really isn't. I feel Baby Girl so much more and it's pretty amazing.
Baby Movement: As I just said, a lot of moving going on. Not sure this little one sleeps! EVERY time I sit down she is moving. It's a great experience, and I will definitely miss it :)
Food Wants/Needs/Have-to-Haves: Cookies
Foods that Make You Queasy/Sick: Meatloaf
Boy or Girl Predictions: It's a GIRL! :)
Labor Signs: I hope not! I have been feeling a lot of tightness but keeping tabs and making sure it's nothing serious.
Belly Button In/Out: OUTTY!
Wedding Rings On or Off: On. I feel lucky that I haven't gotten puffy in my hands or feet.
Mood: Good mood with a couple freak outs here and there ;). I had my first freak out last night actually. Noah wakes up occasionally in the middle of the night and last night was my first break. He didn't want to go back to sleep and I was so tired. He kept asking if he could go to sleep in our bed (which we don't really allow unless it's closer to morning time). After a half hour of getting him to bed, I went back to bed, but of course my mind wouldn't stop thinking (moving, baby, late nights, baby's future room, Greg leaving, etc). After a half hour of not sleeping, Noah woke up again. He didn't want to sleep again, so I held him and cried until he went back to sleep. Ha! What will it be like when Greg is gone and it's just me and the kids? In the middle of the night when Noah is waking up and then baby Girl is waking up. When they wake up at the same time? I know it's all about learning and I will get the hang of things but it stresses me out! I kept telling myself last night that I am just tired and freaking out. Which is true, I tend to do that when i'm tired! Don't think that I'm crazy or anything ;) On the positive side, he woke up at 7:30 instead of 6:45! :)
Pains: Lower back pain and aches in the belly here and there.
Recent Doctors Appointment: I went to the doctor on Wednesday. Gained 3lbs in 2 weeks woop woop! Good blood pressure. The doctor measured my belly and said I was measuring around 30 weeks. Usually she wouldn't mind if it was a week or 2 off but since its 4 weeks she wants to get an ultrasound to make sure all is well. She said it feels like the baby is more on my right side. I feel Baby Girl all over so maybe she was just in an odd position when the doctor measured. So ultrasound on Monday night to check on our little one!
I also asked the doctor about possible induction if the baby doesn't come on time. Reason? Greg graduates April 17th from A School (Baby due April 23rd). There is a possibility that he will have to fly back to Cape May to move all of our things right after graduation unless this baby comes. Honestly, I don't even want to think about having this baby without Greg there! She said there is no problem with inducing at 39 weeks. So if anything, I COULD induce the night of graduation. So that is all in discussion. We are still waiting to find out the official plan of moving and all and when Greg has to leave.
How's the Big Brother: Noah is fabulous as usual. Starting to understand who and where his baby sister is. Very exciting. I will be doing a whole blog post on Noah very soon. So to be continued..

Sprinkles and Showers, Oh My!

The words "fun and exciting weekend" do not even come close to how my weekend was. My sister came home for a visit! I haven't seen her since her wedding (June 2012)!!!! WAY WAY too long!! I was in heaven while she was here (and so was Noah!). She flew in late Thursday night and left Monday afternoon.

On Saturday, my mom and I put on a Baby Shower for her over at Graffiti Restaurant here in Petaluma. It was a gorgeous day and a great turn out with a whopping 27 people! The food was delicious, the view of the river was so pretty on such a a clear day, and the Mama-to-be was glowing! Thought I would share a "few" photos :)
