40 Weeks- Today is the Day!!

WELL, today is the day! We go in tonight to get induced. Baby Girl will definitely be here tomorrow! Ah I can't believe it! Our bags are packed and ready to go. Noah's bag is packed and ready for NiNi and Grandad's house where he will be staying for a couple days. I am super excited but extremely nervous. Something about knowing what to expect makes labor a little more intimidating.

Total Weight Gain: 22lbs 

Names: Our list of options from the beginning were the following: Peyton, Piper, Scarlett, Dakota, Charlotte, Lucy, Georgia, Ada, Brooklyn. None of these were chosen lol! 

Regular Clothes or Maternity: Maternity and sweats. (Well shorts because it is HOT!)

Stretch Marks: Yup

Sleep: Sleeping has been going pretty well. Last night I actually slept really well AND Noah slept through the night. So it was a good "last" night of normal sleep before our little one arrives!

Fitness: None haha. Just walks to the park!

Miss Anything: Nope 

Baby Movement: Yup she's still pretty active. I mainly feel her leg sticking out the left side of my belly :) 

Food Wants/Needs/Have-to-Haves: Nope

Foods that Make You Queasy/Sick: Meatloaf

Labor Signs: Nope. I wish I would so I wouldn't have to get induced and she would just naturally come. Maybe over night when they give me the Cervadil before inducing me with Pitocin.

Mood: My mood has been more of a lazy and tired kind of mood. Like I said earlier, I'm just nervous at this point, but excited! ;) 

Pains:  The legs pains today have been pretty difficult. I can't get to one room without collapsing lol. But tonight is the night so lets do this! 

Recent Doctors Appointment: Went last Thursday and all went well. No weight gain, blood pressure perfecto! Heart beat, as my doctor would say, "best sound in America!" Greg was able to go with me for the first time which was nice. What a difference from when we were pregnant with Noah, Greg went to every appointment. But that was when he was working nights. We set up an appointment to go in tonight at 7:30pm! They will start by giving me Cervadil which lasts 12 hours and if I don't go into labor on my own, they will start the Pitocin.

How's the Big Brother:  Noah is fabulous. He is ready for baby sister! Well as ready as any 2 year old could be :) So exciting to tell him he gets to see her tomorrow! The last couple nights he's really been talking about baby sister and rubbing my belly. It's adorable. We took Noah to the doctor yesterday because he has been keeping us up all night because of a cough and cold. We assumed allergies but after 2 weeks we decided it was time to see the doctor. Basically the doctor said it could be allergies or cough/cold. No ear infection but his ear was slightly red so they gave us an antibiotic because of the circumstances we are in with a new baby coming and all, she didn't want it to turn into an ear infection. 

Thank you for all your prayers, messages, texts, and calls. They all mean a lot to us. We are excited and ready to meet our baby girl. I can't believe she will be here so soon!!!!! Yay!

OS "A" School Graduation

Yay! It's official! On April 17, 2013 (yesterday), Greg graduated from A School!! It was a very nice ceremony. Greg is officially "OS3 Busick" or "Petty Officer Busick".

He worked very hard for this award and completely deserves it!

For being Honor Graduate, Greg received a "Positive Page 7"; a document that will be put on Greg's permanent record. Just another thing to be proud of and basically a pat on the back from the Coast Guard.

Why you ask? One day Greg's class were playing softball against the class below them and Chief Pierce drilled one of the students in the head (by accident of course) causing a seizure and sending him to the hospital. Oops! The student is okay.

 A tradition from every class is to give a gift to the OS Master Chief where it will be put out for everyone to see in the halls of the OS building. A lot of people have pictures and things to hang on the wall. Greg's class found an old World War II Compass and engraved everyone's names. This way they can display it on a table and have it stand out a little more ;)

OS3 Busick!

Greg's Biggest Fans! And yes Greg had the most family members and friends at Graduation. LOL

 Holding Noah back through the whole ceremony was interesting to say the least. All Noah wanted was to see Daddy. So when I finally got to let him go, he sprinted to Daddy <3 

 After graduation we went over to Greg's Parents' house for lunch. It was a nice visit with the fam!

I love you babe! Your hard work, dedication, motivation, and drive all paid off. Your leadership skills are beyond anyone's expectations. You get along with everyone, people feel comfortable coming to you with questions, and your knowledge of the Coast Guard is impeccable. Your future is very bright and I can see you going very far in the Coast Guard. Our family is extremely lucky!

38 Weeks! Only 13 Days to go!!

Names: Yup, just recently changed her name again but pretty sure this one is it! Haha. Middle name still Grace! ;)

Regular Clothes or Maternity: Maternity and sweats. (Well shorts today because it is HOT!)

Stretch Marks: Yup, they are not pretty lol. Just a few "claw marks" of Baby Girl telling me she's almost ready to get out! ;)

Sleep: Sleeping has been going pretty well. I wake up at least once to pee and then the other times to tend to little Noah. 

Fitness: Running after Noah has turned into "prancing" after Noah. Haha. We also have been doing walks around the block after dinner. Not too much fitness just keeping busy during the day playing with Noah :)

Miss Anything: Nope. I know the end is near so I am trying to take in all the little movements I am feeling :)

Baby Movement: Her movements are not what they use to be but she is still moving. Just large movements not little jib jabs here and there any more. If she moves, my whole stomach moves. I can't believe she is all ready to go in there! 

Food Wants/Needs/Have-to-Haves: Nope

Mood: My mood has been all over the place. Stressed, tears, happy, tired; you name it, I've had it!

Pains: Cramping comes and goes but it mainly means I need to drink water 

Recent Doctors Appointment: Had a doctors appointment today! Gaining a pound a week right on track. Nothing has changed. Going on 2cm dialated for at least 3 weeks now. Heart beat sounded amazing. My blood pressure is normal. Doctor said baby is likely not coming today. 

How's the Big Brother: Noah is doing well. We are working on him being in a big boy bed which has been a struggle for us. Its been a week and a half and we now have to lay in his room until he goes to sleep. Noah has always been a great sleeper where we could lay him down and walk out but now that he has nothing stopping him (crib), all he wants is us to stay in with him. It's rough, and getting up in the middle of the night is happening a little too much. Preparing for baby? Well if this keeps happening then we really won't be sleeping when the baby comes! lol. Besides that little bump in the road, Noah is doing great. He asked Baby Sister last night if she could come out. Then proceeded to tell her that they could run around the house together. I told him she could watch him while he does it and show her all his toys ;)

The Past Couple Weeks in a Nut Shell...

It's been an interesting couple weeks! Week 36 of my pregnancy gave us a little surprise. I was in a good amount of pain that whole week and ended up going to get monitored at the hospital. I was having contractions but it was all false labor. Now on week 38, I am feeling much better! No more pains, and feeling pretty normal.  A little pressure here and there but all is well. So excited to meet our baby girl!! 

Going back, Easter was very eventful! We started the morning off with Noah waking up to an Easter basket and a little Easter Egg Hunt around the house. I have never seen him THIS excited on a holiday. He is getting so old! Christmas, he wasn't too interested in opening presents and all he wanted to do was sit and drink his milk. But for Easter, he went through his Easter basket and then slowly collected his eggs around the house. 

We went over to my Brother's for Easter lunch. LOTS of kids makes for LOTS of fun. Noah had a blast with all the kids. He really enjoys hanging out with the big kids :) It was a stormy rainy day on Easter but we were still able to have an Easter Egg Hunt outside. It drizzled during the hunt but right when the kids came inside it began to rain and thunder pretty hard!

After lunch, we headed over to the Busick's house for dinner! It was a fun gathering with extended family as well. Wish I took more pictures!

Saturday we celebrated Noah's half Birthday. I know I know it may be silly but he loved every second of it and so did I! I always like to push and show how special he is in anyway I can!

Now on to Coast Guard related "stuff". 

We met up with some Cape May friends on Sunday who live on base here in Petaluma. It was so nice to catch up! They were always so welcoming and helpful when we first moved to Cape May. Courtney always offered to help with Noah while we unpacked. She was amazing and we were so sad they were moving so quick. I feel lucky and grateful that we have gotten to see them while we are here.

As for Key West and all the moving, everything is constantly changing. Looks like Greg will be heading out to Cape May to move our things around May 8th and reporting in to the Thetis (Key West) by the 17th. It's definitely starting to hit that we will be separated for so long. Lots of rumors going on that the Thetis will be going to Dry Dock for possibly 3-4 months. Unfortunately, Greg will have to go with his boat to wherever they are taking the boat out to get worked on. Makes me sad to think we may be separated for THAT long. That is worse than him going underway!! It will definitely be a tough adjustment! I am hoping he will have a break in those 4 months but who knows. Noah, Baby Girl, and I may be staying in Petaluma a lot longer than we thought! 

I hope Baby Girl comes sooner than later so that Greg can spend more than 2 weeks with her! Oy, this life can be hard, but it definitely makes us stronger. 

36 Weeks!

I had my 36 week doctor appointment today. Pregnancy brain hit hard and I was an hour late for my appointment! WOOPS! I have been having pretty bad cramps the past few days so they agreed to see me :) And I must say, I've never been in and out of doctors office so quickly! Exciting news, I am 2cm dialated and 80% Effaced! It would be pretty neat to meet our baby girl early! Maybe even be here for her daddy's graduation! Since I had Noah so quickly after my water broke, the doctor told me to call the hospital when my contractions are 5 minutes apart or of course right when my water breaks. 

Total Weight Gain: 19lbs (SO surprised I didn't gain weight)

Names: Yup, a name has officially been chosen. But we are so close to D-Day that we decided to keep it a surprise :) BUT her middle name will be Grace <3

Regular Clothes or Maternity: Maternity and sweats. Comfort is all I care about at this point! 

Stretch Marks: I think I may have some new ones added to Noah's but I can't remember now ha.

Sleep: Sleeping has been a struggle this week. As I said before, lots of cramping and sharp pains below my belly. But the doctor said it is all normal. 

Fitness: Walks to the park. But mainly speed walking after Noah! :)

Miss Anything: Just my body! But now I am just enjoying the movements our baby girl is making because I know I will miss that the most once she is out.

Baby Movement: Still a lot of movement. Well, more like jolts. When I go to bed, she moves the most. This week Greg has been feeling her a lot (knees, elbows, butt, who knows! But pretty awesome!)

Food Wants/Needs/Have-to-Haves: Cookies! Ah it's getting out of hand! lol

Foods that Make You Queasy/Sick: Meatloaf

Labor Signs: Just baby prepping to come out. Braxton Hicks and a lot of cramping. 

Belly Button In/Out: OUTTY! I swear it keeps coming out further and further!

Mood: Been in a great mood actually. More tired than anything. I have been very spoiled the past few days with all the help. It's been nice to be able to put my feet up and relax while I get help with Noah. I can't move as quick right now so it's been very helpful.

Pains: Cramping below the belly, jolting pains, back pain here and there. Ha! Must be coming to the end! ;)

How's the Big Brother: Noah is pretty excited for Baby Sister. He is very helpful. We just cleaned and got the car seat all ready. We talk about her all the time and it seems to be very positive so far! 

We are definitely ready to meet our Baby Girl! Birth plan is done, baby clothes picked out, bags ALMOST packed. Car seat will probably go in any day.

Let the Easter Festivities Begin!

Sunday, we went to the Petaluma Mother's Club Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Festival. It was a ton of fun! They had jumpy houses, train rides, the Easter Bunny, a clown, balloon twisting, crafts, rabbits and chickens, bubbles, and an Easter Egg Hunt!

My little boy is getting so big!

 Noah was very eager to meet the Easter Bunny, but once he sat next to her, he was a little hesitant. He said hi, thank you, "cheese" to the camera, and a high five good bye ;)
